2008 NBA Draft - Rose or Beasley?

Being a huge Chicago Bulls fan I was flabbergasted at the night of the NBA lottery when the Bulls got the 1st pick overall, with that being said. I am sold on Derrick Rose, why? because he's a better defender and has a better idea of being a leader for a team which Beasley lacks. Sure, the Bulls do need a big but they have so many pieces to work a trade to get someone like an Elton Brand or Brad Miller. Guys like Derrick Rose don't come very often, so John Paxson better capitalize on this situation and draft Rose...What do you think?

Reply:Being a Bulls fan myself, I'd be happy with either pick, but most so called experts have been saying they should take Rose. Either way I'm glad they got first pick.

Reply:For the bulls i think they need to take beasley they need mad size which they get with beasley and they already have hinrich leading point if they make a trade or sign a big man then go for rose but for now its gotta be beasley
Reply:see im a ******* HUGE BULLS fan man really a lot ever since the 90s man ok. thats a tough one man i really like michael beastley because he is a 20 and 10 guy we have been lacking since we traded elton brand. but on the other hand kirk hinrich aint that good man what he lacks is that he doesnt show leadership like derrick rose shows a lot. will ill be happy who ever we draft man so

Reply:The Bulls should pick Rose, Why? Because Rose is a very good guard on the offensive and defensive end. Also if they picked Beasley they wouldnt have any place to put him in the starting lineup unless they put him as center but he is fairly under sized for a center. Overall they should pick Rose because he can shoot the three and i think he is a better defender than Beasley. Also players like Rose dont come around very often so they need to take advantage and chose the best player in the 2008 NBA Draft.

or trade those "excess guards" along w/ draft picks or not w/ draft picks.

Reply:I immediately said Micheal Beasley. Now that I think about it I think you can not pass up on Derrick Rose. His stats might be average but this kid isn't. If you get compared to Jason Kidd or a Deron Williams then you are good. Michael Beasley will be a great player in the future and will get a MVP in his future but young and great point guards are rare. The Bulls can not pass up on this guy. And the could package Hinrich for a very good big man like Elton Brand or do some sign and deal thing that Bill Placske said on Around the Horn. And Hinrich had a really bad year. Ship him out before has another one.
