Ethyl Formate smells like rum

Ethyl Acetate smells like nail polish remover

Pentyl Acetate smells like bananna

Ethyl %26amp; Pently are both alcohols that in the laboratory can form most odors while using a carboxylic acid in the process of creating an ester.
