Why is a rose associated with love when a rose always dies?

true love is never supposed to die, like the love God has for us. but no matter what what a rose will always die. so why is love so strongly bound to the rose?

Why is a rose associated with love when a rose always dies?
Hmmm...nice thought. Maybe it goes to show how little humans actually understand God's love. A whithering plant is idea of love...when God's love never fails or fades.
Reply:maybe its becaz Rose is too beautiful and makes us feel good by smelling or looking at it....or maybe its caz it has simliraties with love...like its too sensetive, beautiful...

i dont think it has anything to do with how long a rose lives..its all about its beauty... (very nice question)
Reply:I think the answer lies more in issues sensuality and gender: the attractive scent, physical beauty, delicate texture, and even the fragility of the rose can be taken for a traditional description of femininity.
