Musicians, Are Floyd Rose Low Profile Bridges better than the standard? Is this Floyd Rose Bridge Authentic?

I heard Floyd Rose bridges are really good. Does anybody have one? Do the low profile bridges have faster string action/the strings are lower to the fretboard? Is this Floyd Rose Bridge authentic? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...

Which one is better double locking or single? I kinda want single so I don't have to cut the ball off everytime.

Should I get a Trem-Setter or a Trem-Converter? Have you had any problem with Floyd Roses?

I'm going to keep posting this until I get an answer.

hi,

i don't think its real because usually it has "Floyd rose" written on the left hand side and the fine tuners are black.

and it depends how you set the neck and bridge for the string action.(and how well YOU play.)

and i find the double locking cooler and are better for solos and harmonic techniques, but they are also way more challenging to change strings!!!!!!!!!!although if you play a lot of of gigs or play hard and break your strings a lot you could always just thread the ball end through the tuning peg holes(up at the head of the guitar ), instead of down at the bottom!!!!!!!!

and as for the trem setter they are a great idea and reduce the problem of adjusting the float when you change strings and also allow you to change to an alternate tuning!!!!!!!!!!

you would only need one if you are custom installing the Floyd rose, if it was standard to the guitar it would stay in tune(but i would suggest getting a Floyd rose ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!

they are the best you can get!!!!!!

but i don't like the trem setters because you wouldn't have enough room for trem-setters, trem-converters and the normal spring which u definitely need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and also i don't like the single locking tremolos so i don't need a trem-setter because i have had my orig Floyd rose for about 20 years and have rarely had to re tune!!!!!!!!
Reply:I have two Jackson guitars that have Floyd Roses and they're great. The string action was low unlike what I was use to when I first got my DK2M and I had it set up so it got lower and the thing is like butter when you play solos. The only main problem with Floyd Roses is that if you have no experience with them, changing the strings will be very difficult because unlike a guitar without a Floyd Rose, you can't just take all the strings off and put new ones on, you need to put something hard and thin under the bridge so it doesn't cave into the guitar and you need to cut the string's color coded ball thing off to put the new strings on. I highly suggest you have someone show you before you try it yourself.
