Best rose varieties for hedges?

We're in the Denver area, and we want to plant a rose hedge between our yard and the yard next door. I'm looking for a rose that will grow between 4 and 5 feet tall, and say 3- 4 feet wide. Repeat blooming is a plus; own-roots definitely.

What would you suggest? Right now I'm leaning toward "Golden Celebration", or possibly "Henry Kelsey"

Best rose varieties for hedges?
I would suggest leaning toward a salt spray rose (Rosa rugosa). I personally like 'Hansa', 'Polar Ice' or 'Polar Sun'. There are quite a few out there.

Species types will be larger and cultivated hybrids more refined.

They definitely grow on their own roots and are resistant to Blackspot and other common rose ailments.

I hope that this helps

Good luck-
Reply:If you want it to grow fast go for a wild variety. They are fast and grow tall in no time as well as spread. The one I have is a pink wild rose that constantly needs attention to stay in one place but looks great when it blooms.
Reply:Jackson %26amp; Perkins "Simplicity hedge roses" are beautiful, inexpensive, easy to care for and produce stunning blocks of color all summer long without pruning!! They have five colors and I have found thm to be winners. they are all on sale too boot. I put the link below for you.
