i bought my partner a celtic engagement ring in solid 9ct rose gold about 18 months ago, it is now leaving a green mark on his skin, does rose gold do this or have i been had?

rose gold has copper in it, and copper tarnishes to green.
Reply:Gold should mot leave any colour - gold is a perfect element. ie it corrodes to gold.
Copper will leave a green mark. Your ring has a high copper content I would imagine. 9ct is not high gold.
Reply:You've been had i believe. The cheap rings i used to buy in middle school turned my fingers green and were soft. It is not gold at all.
