What is this poem a sonnet, a lyric, or a ballad?? please help
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

since it's by Tupac Shakur, isn't it a lyric? Lyrics to songs can be poetic. i think of a ballad as more of a love story, which this is not. this is about someone learning to grow or live no matter what the condition... rise above it all and bloom
