Will my rose go into transplant shock? What does transplant shock look like?

damaged (broke some roots) roots while transplanting rose to a bigger container. Rose name New Zealand rose.

iy should`nt, unless you damaged a lot of roots.maybe give it a little fertilizer to help it grow more roots, but not too much. shock looks like wilting maybe some browning on the edges of the leaves.also, try planting a banana peel next to your rose. roses love that. mine got more vivid color and more blooms when I did that.
Reply:well, it may go into transplant shock but that doesn't necessarily mean it will die. when a plant goes into transplant shock its leaves usually wilt. don't confuse this with lack of water, cos then you might overwater it and then it WILL die. you can buy liquid transplant solution, most of them contain b-1 which helps prevent shock. shultz makes a product like that, i think you just mix a capful with a gallon of water. and chances are just as good that it won't go into transplant shock. plants are very resilient and can take more than you may think. pick up a transplant solution and use it, i don't plant anything without it. then keep an eye on it, i bet it will be fine!
