I learned this song in Girl Scouts. Where is it from and what does it mean? I tried googling it bout couldn't find much. There are variations on the lyrics, but I learned it like this:
Rose, Rose, Rose, Rose,
Will I ever see thee wed?
I will marry at thy will, sire,
At thy will.
Ah poor bird,
Why are thou
Flying in the shadows
At this dark hour?
The two parts harmonized and were sung in a round.
Rose, Rose song?
i know a song almost exactly like that but it goes
rose, rose,rose,rose
shall i ever see thee wed?
none shall i marry
till i find my true love
and its over and over and over and and it simply means that the person wont ammry until they find true love and happiness
