Im considering a rose tattoo on my hip....?

i am considering gettign a rose tattoo on my hip. off to the side or my navel near the groin area i suppose.. the rose is my birth flower (june) i know what the colors mean(of different roses).. i would like a red one(romance and my gmas fav. color rose but i have really fair skin =[ so i dont think it would look that great. white skin and a red rose.. ehhh....

what you you think abtou a light yellow/white one??? or a white with yellow highlights? i want it to look as realistic as possible.. i live in the s.f. bay area and im willing to travel anywhere in the state

do you know any artist out there who do good floral tattoos?

do you think a yellow/white rose would look nice (i know most artists dont do whit ink tattoos though and that they can yellow over time or fade..)

what other colors would you suggest a rose to be for someone who has fair skin.

and please dont mention anything about pregnancy and how it will stretch.. i dont want any children!

thank you for your advice!

Actually, a red tattoo would look great on white skin. My husband is an artist so he knows which colors go with what. Also, i have a tattoo of cherries in that area and i'm also really fair skinned. Trust me, red makes pale skin pop, in a REALLY good way. Make sure that whoever you go to uses all disposable things. Even disposable ink because Hepatitis C is running rampant in the tattoo industry. Also, use sunblock religiously whenever your out in the sun because it would prevent fading. Good luck!
Reply:A butterfly in the appropriate place will be more mmm.......sexy.
Reply:i love to stop and smell the flowers,so if your ever in so cal............................ :)
Reply:I think a rose tattoo sounds hot. I don't know about the colors.

Actually, yellow roses are pretty as hell.

Other rose colors for people with pale skin is obviously red, and hot pink.

Light pink would look washed out.
Reply:to tell you the truth, yellow and white are the two hardest colours to take, White shows to much blood and yellow you may have to go back and get touched up...I have a Scottish flag on my back that has 2 hours of yellow in it and I have a couple of tattoos that have white high lights... I'd go with a lite pink or a soft red, but red is a hard colour to take too... get the one that you want it's your body...
Reply:good idea to avoid red. red ink can cause allergic reactions in some people.

i like the yellow with white highlights idea. a light orange or peach color with white and yellow highlights would look good too.
Reply:I'm thinking of a light pink but not too light where you can't see it. And maybe a black border or a darker pink border/outline on the light pink rose would make it stand out a bit more but not too much so it would look more suttle.
