Please don't answer if you have no idea or think it's stupid. Don't waste your time or mine.
There is a trick to this statement that only the speaker of the statement knows and I'm trying to figure out if anyone on the internet knows the trick. The speaker says someone is or isn't a rose, and then they could say that someone else is or isn't a rose, and then they can continue this process saying whether or not a person is a rose or they ask if this person is a rose. Then it is on the listener to say whether or not the person the speaker is inquiring about is a rose or not. It's such a confusing game. For example, one of the statements was "Joey is a rose, is Joey a rose?" The answer was no. So if anybody knows the trick I'd appreciate it.
I know its seems like there is no logic to it, but the whole point is to figure out what the factors are that make a person a rose or not a rose.
Brain teaser/Game: "if *blank* is a rose, and *blank* isn't a rose, is *blank* a rose?
We've played similar games, but each time the 'rules' will change and have to guessed...great fun, but aggravatingly annoying if you can't figure it out!
If this had been 'my' turn the rules might have been:
if a sentence begins with a vowel, then ....no, but if with a consonant, then...yes. - in relation to the Joey question.
You can think up multitudinous rules, which I love doing....the people playing with me usually give up before I'm ready to!
I don't know whether this is the answer in this instance.....I would need to hear some more suppositions and answers to decide for sure.

Reply:H'mMm ;-{ ??? Uh'mm GOo`.e', aWaY !! y`a,' Bother me !!?!! lol
Reply:I'm thinking along the lines where you ignore the actual words being said to concentrate on whether something is a statement or a question, so.....
Joey is a statement but
Is Joey a - is a question - So, when you say "?" Is Joey a statement" the answer is 'no'
Not quite got there yet......but, do you think I am on the right lines?
