Beasley was number one for sure, but what rose did in the NCAA tourney, i'd take him. And if heat get the first pick, it'' def. be rose. ROSE # 1!
Rose or beasley for number 1?
What up Amir,
I would have to say it depends on the team that picks 1.
If it is the heat, and they resign Marion,I would no doubt take Rose. Marion and Wade are your Starting SG,SF so why take Beasley, especially when you are in need of a PG fast!!!
Imagine Rose Wade Marion Haslem and Blount.
Solid to say the least
If Seattle,Minnesota or Memphis get the 1st pick, I think they would take Beasley. Think about it, You got Watson, foye and conley/lowry/crittenton on those teams, they Need beasley.
Thanks,
Z
Reply:I would say beasley, because he is a dominant force, he is on the power forward position can can get rebounds, post up, shoot the three and pass and dribble. What else do you need in a player. I mean, sure derick rose is a very good player but he is not as good as beasley, so i would go with Micheal Beasley.
Reply:If MIA gets the first draft pick they need beasley someone who can do more than an avg PF shoot-rebound-pass-create more for Wade-has a presence, and become a future star!!
I'm not saying Rose is nothing but u have to look @ whats your teams weakest area.
MIA's got a star-guard they need a big-man something down-low besides Haslem
Reply:It depends on which team get the first pick and what their needs are.
I go with Beasley if I'm just picking the better overall player.
Reply:It depends on which team wins the lottery. Both would compliment different teams better than the other. I'd take Beasley
Reply:Beasley
Reply:I like Rose, but Beasly was just amazing at Kansas State. I'll go with him.
Reply:who likes BASKTBALL
Reply:I'd pick that kid from Davidson. He's the next Reggie Miller.
Reply:who knows nobody right
Reply:beasley.. he just has too much talent and potential

Rose for Rose Arch?
I have just bought a rose arch for my garden. It is in a fairly exposed situation and I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good climbing or rambling rose for it. I want something hardy and that will produce lots of flowers with lasting blooms rather than something that has all it's blooms at the one time and then a week later nothing. Think I would like white flowers but it doesnt have to be. Meant to say, I'm in Northern Ireland so want something that will grow well there, and also that is available here !
Thanks
Rose for Rose Arch?
My two favourites are Phyllis Bide, smallish pom pom like flowers in dark cream with pink edges (From David Austin) and Purple Skyliner, small dark purple semi-double flowers with a lovely scent (Peter Beale). They both flower for ages, have lots of flowers, and are tough. You would be better with a small flowered one if it is exposed.
Reply:Abraham Darby: Apricot-pink English Rose, big cupped nodding flowers, heavily fragrant, continuous bloom, healthy, 6'-10'.
Altissimo: Dazzling bright red climber, five-petalled flowers, light fragrance, continuous bloomer, vigorous and healthy, 8'-10'.
Bubble Bath: Soft pink Hybrid Musk, large billowy clusters of flowers, spectacular fragrance, continuous bloom, healthy, shade tolerant, 8'-10'.
Buff Beauty: Buff-yellow Hybrid Musk, large flowers, wonderfully fragrant, repeats well, healthy, shade tolerant, 8'-12'.
Cornelia: Soft coral-pink Hybrid Musk, large clusters of small flowers, sweet fragrance, repeat bloomer, healthy, shade tolerant, 6'-10'.
Graham Thomas: Yellow English Rose, large cupped flowers, fragrant, repeat bloomer, healthy, 8'-10'.
Madame Alfred Carrière: Blush white Noisette, prolific and perfect flowers, delicious fragrance, good repeat bloom, healthy when established, tolerates some shade, 15' to 20'.
Royal Sunset: Rich apricot climber, hybrid-tea flowers, fragrant, continuous heavy bloomer, healthy, 10'-15'.
Sombreuil: Pure white climbing Tea rose, enormous cupped flowers, very fragrant, heavy repeat bloom, healthy, shade tolerant, 15'-25'.
Westerland: Soft peachy-orange climber, big ruffled multi-colored flowers, very fragrant, continuous bloomer, healthy and fast growing, 10'-15'.
Have a look at the link. Some good advice available!
Reply:A Lady Banks rose produces beautiful yellow flowers and is extremely prolific...with no thorns. However, it is not "everblooming". If you like would like a particular rose, you might co-plant it with a clematis that blooms on the roses' "off" season. Or Jasmine,, if it grows in your climate. Co-planting gives you a lovely layering of color and blooms all season!

Reply:i have here David Austin's handbook of roses, you can get one or look at his website www.davidaustinroses.com. It lists roses for each situation with pictures and gives all the info you will need.
one that sounds a possibility is Snow Goose - it does not grow too tall and it repeat flowers well. It bears large sprays of small, glistening, white flowers. The outer petals are quite long and the yellow stamens just visible, giving it a charming, almost daisy like appearance. Stems relatively thornless and straight but they are still easy to train over an arch or across a wall, fence of trellis. Very healthy and reliable. Sweet musk fragrance 8ft.
Reply:Albertine- lots of pink flowers grows well and quite quickly. Only problem is that is very thorny.

Rose bushes?
Last year Iplanted an everblooming white climbing rose bush and it bloomed 1 white rose, this year I bought abother white everblooming rose bush and both of them have bloomed reddish pink roses.... what happened to them??????
Rose bushes?
Sometimes one type of rose is grafted onto another type of root stock. Occasionally a hard winter or some other unforeseen force causes the grafted shrub to die down to the original root stock. Then the roses from the original roots grow instead of what was grafted to them. If your shrubs died very close to the ground, this may be what happened to them.
Reply:With roses make sure you have 8 hours of full sun. No shade. Too much shade equals little or no blooms...In regards to reddish pink roses the tags on your rose bushes could of been switched at the nursery. A case of mistaken identity....

Tokyo rose in the present?
Some of you are certainly too young to remember Tokyo Rose, but you may remember your parents or grandparents talking about her. Perhaps you have heard her voice in the movies. It was propaganda that Japan thought up.
Tokyo Rose During World War II -- the Japanese developed a
way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological
warfare experts developed a message they felt would work.
They gave the script to their famous broadcaster "Tokyo
Rose" and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale.
What was that demoralizing message? It had three main
points:
1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3. You cannot win the war.
Does this sound familiar?
Is it because Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo John, Tokyo
Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, etc. have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC, etc., to our troops?
The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them.
Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on
their side, too!
Tokyo rose in the present?
Yes I read about Tokoyo Rose-WW2. She claims to have been forced but she was still tried I think. I agree with that you are saying.
It appears confusion and chaos is the order of the day as the masses are huddled, muddled and befuddled! Behind the scenes some Dems and Repubs are working together against America to form Hermerica.
If we are to fight, then protect the troops. Don't let em get eaten piecemeal for $$.

Rose of Sharon not flowering?
I've got 4 Rose of Sharon bushes that were planted in the fall of 2006. They all leafed out last year but did not flower. They are all leafing this year as well, but no signs of any flower buds. I have roses in the general vicinity and they are growing and blooming just fine. Any ideas on why my Rose of Sharons show no signs of flowering (Yes, I *am* aware that roses are not related to Rose of Sharon!)? I should probably add that I'm in Zone 6, KY/TN area. The plants get good afternoon sunlight
Rose of Sharon not flowering?
you won't see buds for a couple months yet.... RoS don't bloom till the hottest time of summer........
Reply:Mine aren't in bloom yet, either. They are only just now beginning to bud, and I'm in the Southeast, zone 7, so I'm a little warmer than you. Be patient, they'll come around!
Reply:Rose of Sharon blooms near the end of the summer. They are not spring bloomers.

Derrick Rose... Future Star?
No disrespect to Derrick Rose, but I don't see how he is so good. He only averages 14 Points (OJ Mayo averages 20) 4 Rebounds (OJ Mayo averages 5). Also, Derrick Rose had Chris Douglas Roberts, Robert Dozier, and Glenn Dorsey on his team to help him reach the National Championship. How can the 2008 NBA Mock Draft compare Derrick Rose to Michael Beasley (26 PPG, 12 Rebounds)?
I love Derrick Rose, but isn't he just A BIT overrated?
Derrick Rose... Future Star?
First of all, Stats mean nothing. It's all bout how u play and ur personality. Rose had probaly one of the best personalities for getting all this hype/ He handles it well and knows wat to do on the court. When i watch him play he has one of the highest IQ's for a PG in this draft. OJ mayo has a hot temper and look at his money scandal now. Not good for image. Rose has a great physical game and is quick and great ball handler with both hands. So to end this off. U R CRAZY IF U THINK HE IS OVERRATED AT ALLL!!!
Reply:Basketball drafting is about potential, not college stats. Mayo averaged as many turnovers as he did assists, and he is supposed to be a point/swing man. Mayo is still going to go high in the draft though, because his game is more suited to the pros, which is a played in a different style than college. Rose also played in a pretty loose system under Calipari (Dribble-Drive). With a more structured offense people think he will unlock his potential and be great.
Reply:What up Sohaib A,
Statistically Derrick Rose wasn't all that impressive. But he really carried Memphis against some very top flight teams in the NCAA(s) and he'd be a national champion right now if him or CDR could have sunk a free throw.
OJ's averages are higher mainly because he is the focal point of USC's offense where-as Memphis was a bit more balanced.
i think more than anything we've seen in the past several years that you can build a team around a point guard in the NBA- look at Utah and New Orleans, as well as other teams like Portland with Brandon Roy. Actually Williams College stats were not that great and so he got bypassed and how many teams are kicking themselves for not drafting him earlier.
Beasley definitely is a bit more NBA ready in that he has the NBA size... and it's going to come down to the team who has the #1 pick.
A case can be made for Rose being the best player in this year's draft- and he is by far the best point guard in this year's draft. Has to definitely work on his outside shot- but he's pretty fierce taking it to the hole.

Reply:I agree with the previous comment about Chris Paul and Derron Williams. There's no doubt that they REALLY broke out of their molds somewhat unpredictably. I think Derrick Rose definitely has potential, but like all potential first draft picks, the pressure is great and we might not see him develop into a superstar until latter years.
Reply:WELL I'M A BIG FAN OF ROSE AND BEASLEY, I DO THINK ROSE IS A LITTLE OVERRATED BUT HE IS STILL REALLY GOOD, I THINK BEASLEY SHOULD BE NUMBER 1 DRAFT PICK, MAYO NUMBER 2, AND ROSE NUMBER 3 DRAFT PICK,I DONT THINK ROSE DESERVES TO GET DRAFTED BEFORE BEASLEY, MAYO, I DO BELIEVE THAT IF ROSE GET DRAFTED TO A TEAM THAT HAD A REALLY BAD SEASON, A SORRY SORRY TEAM THAT HE WILL DEFIANTLY BE A FUTURE STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!ALL 3 OF THEM WILL
Reply:Smart money says Derrick Rose is more of a solid citizen than Michael Beasley, the only player in the draft rated ahead of him. If you don't think character counts in NBA scouting evaluations, guess again.
Reply:He has potential to be very great! His physical attributes are like a deron Williams and then his decision making and skills are like Chris Paul, hes like a mix between them. When Chris Paul and Deron Williams came out, did anyone think they would be as good as they are now? Prbably not
Reply:I would say
Michael Beasley is the best,
OJ Mayo is second best
Derek Rose is third best
Reply:I was going to give you a great answer, but you don't resolve your questions so screw off.

Blue rose poem,?
i asked my lover
where is my blue rose
he quietly says
where ever i go
i stare in curiosity
as he gazes into mine
he calls me his baby
i call him my light
as we walk to the doors
of his beauiful life
yet he never tells me
where he keeps his rose
and i laugh it off
even his white lies
make my heart bloom
one day cancer grows
on his beautiful heart
his life go's away
and so does mine too
his funeral came
and my broken heart flew
when i stared at his grave
the blue roses bloomed
i looked at my memories
that sprouted in the flowers
he never said a lie
for i was his blue rose
that followed him
his blue rose baby

Hello there... I like your poem. I'm a poet my self. I like the way you project your feelings trough it. I know it's not easy, Keep writing , your good. I'm sorry about your lost. It's almost ironic that something beautiful come from a painful experience. That's what make this art so incredible. Good luck to you. Best wishes from my heart ♥
